Tokenised real-world assets market to reach $2.3 trillion by 2030 - Morgan Stanley, Oliver Wyman

Morgan Stanley and Oliver Wyman forecast the tokenised real-world assets market will expand to about $2.3 trillion by 2030 from roughly $40 billion. They expect most growth to come from collateral mobility and reserve and treasury management at financial institutions, rather than tokenised investment products. In their base case, collateral mobility accounts for $1.7 trillion and reserve and treasury management $400 billion. They also outlined lower and higher adoption scenarios of $1.1 trillion and $5.5 trillion.

Bitcoin edges lower as odds of October Fed rate hike jump to 75 percent

Bitcoin slips back to around $84,490 as markets factor in a greater chance of additional U.S. Federal Reserve rate hikes amid rising inflation concerns. CME FedWatch puts the probability of an October rate increase at about 75 percent and December at about 59 percent. The Fed raised its benchmark rate by 0.25 percentage point on Sept. 16 to a 3.75 to 4 percent target range. Most major cryptocurrencies move lower or flat, while derivatives liquidations total $348.33 million.
