Palo Alto Networks says AI exploits vulnerabilities immediately, virtual patching is the answer

Palo Alto Networks said on Tuesday it released network security research and new products aimed at the frontier AI era. Its Unit 42 team developed NOVA, an autonomous vulnerability discovery, validation and reporting system using frontier AI models. NOVA analyzed 3,915 open-source projects over two months and identified 14,090 vulnerabilities, 99.4% of them previously unknown. The company also announced PAN-OS 12.2 Ceres with more than 55 new features, highlighting advanced virtual patching, advanced IP defense and network security agent tools.

AhnLab named Frost & Sullivan Asia-Pacific endpoint security Competitive Strategy Leadership

AhnLab said on Tuesday it was included in the Asia-Pacific endpoint security Competitive Strategy Leadership category in Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 Best Practices Recognition. The company said its platform strategy for integrated security operations, AI embedded across products and services, and a threat intelligence-driven security ecosystem were cited in the assessment. Frost & Sullivan analyst Vivien Pua said the approach helps customers improve visibility, operational efficiency and cyber resilience.

Naru Security to carry out KISA project to detect local cyberattack victims and diagnose vulnerabilities

Naru Security said on Tuesday it will carry out a Korea Internet & Security Agency project to detect companies in regions hit by intrusion incidents and diagnose vulnerabilities. The project targets small and micro businesses nationwide, focusing on constant monitoring to identify early signs of breaches and weaknesses and prevent damage. The company plans to use network data to find blind spots, analyze suspicious activity and provide tailored response measures, linking detected data to its threat intelligence for additional analysis.
