Apple revives health strategy in smartglasses after Vision Pro scrap
Apple is pushing plans to expand its in-development non-augmented reality smartglasses into a health and fitness platform, though such features are unlikely to be a focus in a first-generation product. Bloomberg\'s Mark Gurman said Apple is reviewing ways to revive health platform ideas it had explored for Vision Pro. Those plans were shelved due to the headset\'s weight. Micro cooling fan designed to fit inside smartglasses temple unveiled
A micro cooling fan designed to be mounted inside the temple of smartglasses has been unveiled, aiming to address rising heat as on-device AI functions grow. U.S. semiconductor company xMEMS introduced its XMC-1200 for smartglasses and AR and XR eyewear. The fan has an area of 46 square millimetres and can be used with the company’s Astra2 drive ASIC at about 70 milliwatts.
