KRX to launch after-hours market, trading until 8 p.m. from Sept. 14

The Korea Exchange (KRX) will operate an after-hours market from Sept. 14, allowing real-time stock trading until 8 p.m. after the regular session ends. The exchange said it revised rules for its KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets and that 38 brokerages, representing 95.2 percent market share, plan to participate. Existing after-hours single-price trading will be abolished and replaced by continuous matching from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tesla short sellers made $9 billion, but current profit or loss is unclear

Short sellers in Tesla booked about $9.008 billion in mark-to-market gains after the stock’s sharp fall, an analysis showed. The figure was calculated immediately after the July 23 drop and does not represent the group’s real-time profit or loss as of August. Tesla later fell further before rebounding. The company’s second-quarter results, weak operating profit, negative free cash flow and heavy spending on long-term projects weighed on the shares.

Cardano liquidation imbalance hits 99 percent as shorts take $1 million hit after breaking $0.185

Cardano (ADA) triggered a large short squeeze during a short-term rebound, forcing the liquidation of more than $1 million in short positions. U.Today reported that about $1.09 million in shorts were liquidated as ADA moved against traders betting on a fall below $0.15. CoinGlass data showed total liquidations of about $1.63 million, mostly from shorts. The market is watching $0.185 as a potential new support zone, with another liquidation level cited near $0.19396.
