iM Bank, Daegu City, KODIT to provide 100 billion won support for SMEs in vulnerable sectors
iM Bank will provide about 100 billion won in financial support for local small and medium-sized firms in economically vulnerable sectors such as construction, together with Daegu City and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. Under the agreement, iM Bank will contribute 2 billion won to the fund, including 1.2 billion won in a special contribution and 800 million won for guarantee fees, and plans to supply about 100 billion won in loans.

Overseas Koreans in South Korea to get up to 13 percent off EMS postage
Overseas Koreans living in South Korea and their family members will be eligible from next month for discounts of up to 13 percent on international express mail (EMS) and EMS Premium services. Korea Post will also provide preferential interest rates of up to 0.15 percent on postal deposits and a 30 percent preferential exchange rate for overseas remittances. The measures follow an agreement with the Justice Ministry to support stable settlement. Benefits start on Sept. 1.

Toss and Hana Bank launched season 2 of the \'Hana Pedometer Savings\' product on Aug. 28, offering preferential interest rates based on users\' step counts. The sales limit has been expanded to 20,000 accounts after season 1, launched last month, sold out its 10,000-account quota in 13 days. The 100-day flexible deposit product is open to individuals and sole proprietors aged 19 and older, with a top rate of 4.5 percent including bonuses.
