Mercedes-AMG unveils first in-house developed electric SUV with 1,153 hp and 12-minute charging
Mercedes-AMG has unveiled a new GT SUV, its first large SUV developed in-house from the outset as a pure electric vehicle. The lineup includes GT 53, GT 55 and GT 63 variants, with the top model producing 1,153 horsepower. It supports charging power of up to 710 kW, with 10 percent to 80 percent in 12 minutes. The vehicle also features battery thermal management, AI-based track performance functions and an MB.OS-based cockpit.

Mobilint installs its NPU boards on satellite for fifth Nuri launch
Mobilint said on Wednesday that two neural processing unit (NPU) boards based on its REGULUS chip have been mounted on BEE-1012, a secondary payload satellite on South Korea’s fifth Nuri rocket launch. It said this is the first time an NPU designed and developed by a South Korean company has been installed on a satellite. The boards will support satellite condition analysis and protein crystal growth observation and image analysis using onboard AI.

Post office rooftops become drone bases as Japan Post and KDDI test drone hubs
Japan Post and KDDI have started a demonstration project in Suzu, Ishikawa prefecture, using a post office as a drone take-off and landing hub. The companies installed a droneport on the roof of the Suzu post office and will use drones to inspect school routes in normal times and to check damage and residents’ safety during disasters. The demonstration runs until Oct. 4.
