TelePIX, a space AI integrated solutions company, said on Monday it has passed a technical evaluation for a technology-special listing and has begun preparing for an IPO, targeting a KOSDAQ listing in the second half of the year.

TelePIX said it was recently assessed by specialised technical evaluation agencies designated by the Korea Exchange as a company that has both high technical completeness and business scalability based on satellite and AI convergence technology. The company said it was significant that the evaluation was passed under assessment standards classified in the AI and big data category for the first time among domestic space companies.

TelePIX said it is developing in-house hardware and software solutions capable of AI processing in the space environment. The GPU-based onboard AI processor TetraPLEX, launched into space in August 2024, has been operating stably in orbit for about 17 months to date, it added. The company also said its AI CubeSat BlueBON has been operating normally for more than 1 year.

TelePIX CEO Seong-ik Cho (조성익) said passing the technical evaluation meant the company had officially verified that its technology and business model can continue to grow after listing. He said the company will use the listing as a chance to accelerate technology advancement and expansion of its global business, and make a leap into a global AI-specialised solutions company that can expand from the satellite-based space industry to the defence industry.
