Ecopro HN develops large ammonia ship emissions cleaning system
Ecopro HN said it has secured a key technology for commercialising ammonia-powered ships after developing a megawatt-class ammonia engine emissions purification system with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and the Korean Register. It said the system uses microwave heating to directly heat the catalyst and precisely control activation temperature, helping minimise fuel consumption and avoid installing separate devices for fossil fuels. The company plans further verification and commercialisation.

Samsung Electronics adds recycled glass fiber to Bespoke AI Combo
Samsung Electronics has applied recycled waste-glass material to a washer-dryer and received global certification. The company said on Jan. 30 it obtained UL Solutions\' Environmental Claims Validations certification. It worked with Samsung Display to crush and melt waste tempered glass from manufacturing to produce recycled glass fiber. Samsung Electronics applied it to the outer tub of its Bespoke AI Combo all-in-one washer-dryer and certified 10 percent recycled content. It plans to expand use to drum washers produced in North America and Vietnam within the year.
