LG Uplus will expand customer benefits for the summer holiday season, including roaming, membership discounts, local tourism programmes and support for young customers. The company said it is strengthening everyday perks to ease customer burdens amid high prices and to raise the value of telecom services, as part of livelihood stabilisation measures discussed at a meeting between the science and technology deputy prime minister and executives of the three mobile carriers.

LG Uplus is expanding the scope of its AI agent Ixio from call support to broader daily-life services such as search, scheduling and roaming, while exploring links to physical AI. The company aims to develop Ixio into an ambient AI that connects devices and spaces through voice. With about 1.5 million monthly active users, Ixio trails SK Telecom’s A.dot, which has more than 10 million MAU. LG Uplus is cautious about monetisation and is pursuing overseas carrier partnerships and B2B models.
