LG Uplus said on Sunday it will unveil its future AI assistant service, Ixio Pro, at MWC26 in Barcelona, Spain on March 2 local time.
Ixio Pro is a next-generation AI call agent that comprehensively understands users' daily data and proactively suggests information suited to each situation. While the existing Ixio responds to customer requests, Ixio Pro focuses on identifying conversation context and relationships to guide users to needed information.
Without users specifically calling Ixio, it first summarises what was mentioned in a previous call and informs them. During calls, it also checks in real time and provides information users may be curious about. The company said this helps users communicate more smoothly with others.
At MWC26, the company will also introduce a future vision in which Ixio expands without constraints of location or device. It will show its evolution into a voice-based super agent that connects with customers anywhere beyond smartphones.
LG Uplus will also unveil a collaboration framework to advance "assurance", which it called the foundation of people-centric AI. It will link Ixio's AI voice phishing detection technology with KB Kookmin Bank's abnormal transaction monitoring system.
Ixio detects suspected voice phishing patterns, whether a malicious app is installed and whether a risky URL has been accessed in real time, and shares the information with KB Kookmin Bank. KB Kookmin Bank links it with its own monitoring system to watch for abnormal transactions and, if necessary, implements customer protection measures such as suspending account payments.
Choi Yoon-ho (최윤호), head of LG Uplus' AI business group, said, "Ixio is evolving into a hyper-personalised AI assistant that understands a customer's context and helps first." He said, "Through the new functions unveiled at MWC26 and examples of collaboration with the financial sector, we will set a new standard so customers can use AI services with assurance."
