KT Skylife launches designated CEO system, faces task of settling new businesses
KT Skylife appointed Yong Ji, former CEO of KTcs, as its new chief executive. The company approved the appointment at a shareholders meeting and board meeting on Tuesday, citing his experience leading network and regional operations at KT and serving as an affiliate CEO. Shareholders also approved appointments of Se-joon Choi and Hyun-gu Kang as outside non-executive directors. KT Skylife plans to settle its ipit TV service and expand its AI sports broadcast solution.

KT Skylife Q1 operating profit rises 16.2 percent on cost cuts
KT Skylife reported first-quarter consolidated revenue of 238.97 billion won and operating profit of 5.94 billion won. Revenue fell 1.6 percent from a year earlier, but operating profit rose 16.2 percent, helped by lower costs linked to sales. The company said weaker broadcasting and home shopping markets, lower content sales at KT ENA and the wind-down of KT HCN’s appliance instalment business weighed on revenue.

KT Skylife taps Jo Il as new CEO, faces task of securing growth drivers
KT Skylife has named Jo Il, executive vice president and head of management planning and CFO, as CEO-designate. He is set to become CEO after being appointed an inside director at a March 26 shareholder meeting and then approved by the board. Key tasks include strengthening growth through its internet-based TV service ipit TV and producing results from its investment in AI sports broadcasting firm Pochak.
