Sell before iPhone 18 as existing iPhone resale prices may drop up to 30 percent

Users planning to sell an existing iPhone ahead of the iPhone 18 launch may benefit from moving quickly, as resale prices could fall by up to 30 percent within weeks of the new model’s reveal. Sam Wilson of refurbished device trader GadgetGogo said higher-end models such as Pro and Pro Max could drop by 150 to 300 pounds soon after launch. He suggested using buyback services that lock in current prices.

Apple\'s September lineup takes shape as unreleased product codenames spotted in macOS Tahoe code

Clues to unreleased iPhone, Mac, iPad, home and audio products were found in code for Apple\'s next operating system, ahead of a product event expected in September. Engadget reported that internal codenames appeared in macOS Tahoe 27.6 release candidate code, including references tied to iPhone models, a new home hub, a next HomePod mini, AirPods, Beats, Vision Pro, Apple TV, iPads and Macs. Apple has not announced an event schedule.

iPhone 18 Pro to be smaller and faster; 6 key changes

Apple’s next premium iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island and an A20 Pro chip based on a 2-nanometre process. Other changes discussed include an in-house C2 modem, a variable-aperture main camera, possible updates to telephoto hardware and new camera app features. The Pro Max could get a battery about 10 percent larger, while Apple may simplify the camera control button.
