XRP holds $1 level but past cycles saw further drops after 70 percent slump
XRP has fallen more than 71 percent from its July 2025 all-time high, renewing attention on whether past cycle patterns could signal further declines. XRP is at $1.04, down from $3.66. Previous cycles saw similar 70 percent-plus drops followed by additional losses to much lower levels. Analysts say a further 25 to 30 percent slide to around $0.78 to $0.73 is possible, though not certain. Some cite different timing and a 2025 flash crash as complicating comparisons.

XRP low may not be in, possible drop to $0.57 in second half of 2026
XRP has slipped to $1.05 recently, but the final low of the current down cycle may still lie ahead, an analysis said. Market analyst PiraTime compared past XRP bear markets with the current trend and said a long-term bottom could form in the fourth quarter of 2026. The analyst pointed to similarities with the 2022 cycle and suggested the key bottoming window could be Oct. 10 to Nov. 5, with a possible move toward around $0.57.

Perpetual futures DEX daily volume surpasses $70 billion, second-highest ever
Daily trading volume on perpetual futures-based decentralised exchanges exceeded $70 billion on Feb. 5, according to cryptocurrency market data. It was the second-highest reading, after the so-called “1011 flash crash” on Oct. 10, 2025. By platform, Hyperliquid ranked first with $24.7 billion, followed by Aster with $10 billion, edgeX with $8.7 billion and Lighter with $7.5 billion. Aster re-entered the top group as liquidity refocused after its Season 6 airdrop ended. Perpetual futures DEXs are narrowing the gap with centralised exchanges in UI, execution speed and liquidation efficiency.
