Tesla\'s $10.1 billion Texas solar plant plan faces patent suit risk among Chinese equipment makers
Tesla\'s plan for a large solar factory in Texas is facing uncertainty as Chinese solar equipment makers fight a patent dispute over key ingot-production machinery. Linton Crystal Technologies, a unit of Dalian Linton, has sued Zhejiang Jingsheng Mechanical & Electrical in a U.S. federal court in Texas, seeking damages and an injunction. Tesla is not a party and has not confirmed equipment contracts, but reports have linked Jingsheng to Tesla procurement.
