Winklevoss twins seek Nasdaq listing for Zcash spot ETF \'WINK\'

The Winklevoss twins filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a spot exchange-traded fund that would directly hold Zcash token ZEC, seeking a Nasdaq listing under the ticker WINK. The proposed Winklevoss Zcash ETF would let investors gain exposure through a regular brokerage account and would charge a 0.25 percent sponsor fee. Gemini would custody ZEC in cold wallets, and Winklevoss Capital Fund signaled interest in buying up to $100 million in the offering.

Grayscale to split Zcash spot ETF ZCSH 3 for 1 to boost investor access

Grayscale’s Zcash spot exchange-traded fund, ZCSH, will carry out a 3-for-1 stock split. Existing shareholders will receive two additional shares for each share they hold, and split-adjusted trading will begin on Sept. 30. The move aims to lower the per-share price without changing the fund’s value to improve access for individual investors. The split follows sharp rises in Zcash and the ETF, which has attracted more than $233 million since listing.

Aztec releases v5 alpha, says fully private transaction proofs possible on mobile phones

Crypto privacy project Aztec has released its v5 upgrade in an alpha stage. Co-founder Williamson Aztec (윌리엄슨 아즈텍) said the upgrade was pursued to make fully private transactions the default in the Ethereum ecosystem. Aztec said the update more than halves proof times, cuts average private transaction costs by about 50 percent and reduces average block times to 6 seconds from 14. It also lowers rollup proof verification costs by about 40 percent.
