SK Broadband creates youth \'content playground\' from composing to dance and anchoring

SK Broadband runs culture, arts and media experience programs for children and teenagers, ranging from music creation to K-pop dance and broadcast production. It said it is holding the Blossom Youth Music Festival, the K-pop Children’s Culture and Arts Classroom and the Happiness Alliance School program. This year’s music festival drew 142 teams nationwide, with eight finalists attending a July music camp in Chuncheon.

Financial firms step up Chuseok sharing drives, expand community outreach

Financial companies in South Korea are stepping up social contribution activities ahead of the Chuseok holiday, ranging from purchases to support traditional markets to aid for vulnerable groups and employee-led volunteering. The Financial Supervisory Service joined four firms and the Salvation Army for a market event in Seoul. Major banks and financial groups ran nationwide programs delivering goods and vouchers to welfare facilities, low-income households, seniors living alone, multicultural families and patients.

Bithumb staff block 3.8 billion won in voice phishing losses, receive national police chief\'s citation

Bithumb staff received a citation from the commissioner general of the National Police Agency for helping victims recover assets and preventing voice phishing losses, the company said on Wednesday. Bithumb said Ko Hyung-chan won the KB Kookmin Guardian Award. Ko received the police chief’s citation at an awards ceremony in Seoul on Sept. 15, the first such recognition for a digital asset exchange employee. Bithumb said it returned about 9 billion won to 163 victims.
