Whitebit has received approval under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) rules from Austria’s Financial Market Authority, allowing it to provide regulated crypto services across the European Economic Area with a single licence. Cointelegraph reported the company will also launch a Europe-focused platform, WhitebitEU. The approval comes less than two weeks before the MiCA transition period ends on July 1, after which firms must hold a MiCA licence or stop serving EU customers.

With May approaching, WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), Tron (TRX) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) are drawing attention as altcoins closest to their record highs. A blockchain outlet said the three have relatively short distances to new highs among major altcoins, raising talk of near-term breakouts. WBT trades about 16 percent below its peak, TRX about 25 percent and HYPE about 33 percent, with markets focusing on whether key price levels are broken or defended.
