Financial firms join crypto exchanges, could shake up digital asset market
South Korea\'s won-based digital asset exchanges are bringing in financial companies as new shareholders to bolster their business foundations, drawing attention to whether the market led by Upbit and Bithumb could shift. CoinGecko data put Upbit’s 24-hour volume share at 72.1 percent and Bithumb’s at 22.3 percent. Trading activity has declined, while Coinone, Korbit and Gopax move to expand capital and business ties with financial groups.

Coinone app enables Korea Investment & Securities stock trading in first collaboration after equity investment
Coinone launched a service that lets users move from its app to Korea Investment & Securities\' web trading system (WTS) to check information on domestic stocks and trade them. The crypto exchange said it created a new \'Stock investment\' tab on its app\'s main screen. The service is the first collaboration since Korea Investment & Securities made a strategic equity investment in Coinone in May.

Toss Securities says Lee Jae-myung photo shown in Chrome bookmark preview was not hacking or data leak
Toss Securities said a phenomenon in which a photo of President Lee Jae-myung (이재명) appeared as a preview image when users bookmarked its PC home screen in the Chrome browser was unrelated to hacking or personal data leakage. The company said there were no system issues and no impact or leakage involving customer assets, trading information or personal information. It said the issue arose during Chrome’s bookmark preview image selection and caching process and has been normalised after adjustments.
