Coinone will launch a service that lets users move from its application to Korea Investment & Securities' web trading system (WTS) to check information on domestic stocks and trade them.

Coinone said on July 27 it created a new 'Stock investment' tab on the app's main screen that links to Korea Investment & Securities' WTS.

The service is the first collaboration the two companies have introduced since Korea Investment & Securities made a strategic equity investment in Coinone in May.

Users who tap the stock investment tab at the top of the Coinone app are taken to a service page provided by Korea Investment & Securities. The page allows users to check domestic stock issues with high real-time view counts and related information.

If users select a specific issue and complete Naver authentication, they are connected to Korea Investment & Securities' WTS to check additional information or trade directly.

Customers without a Korea Investment & Securities account can open one on a separate page and then use the service.

The two companies explained that enabling users to move directly from the Coinone app to Korea Investment & Securities' service improved accessibility for customers who invest in both digital assets and stocks.

Cha Myung-hoon (차명훈), Coinone's chief executive, said, "We introduced our first collaboration after noting that more investors are recently diversifying asset allocation," adding, "We will continue to expand areas of cooperation with Korea Investment & Securities."
