Strategy shifts are also drawing attention to expansion in other Asian markets such as South Korea. Tesla is also facing production and supply-chain variables, intensifying competition from China and rivals, and broader changes in the EV market and mobility services driven by data and AI.

Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe aims for fastest EV charging in U.S.
Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe has stepped up the charging-speed race by touting what it says is the fastest EV charging time in the U.S. market. The car can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 11 minutes when using a 600-kW DC fast charger. The figure assumes ultra-high-output charging infrastructure, which remains limited for most U.S. consumers, raising attention to the gap with real-world use.
