Search click-through rate plunges 60 percent; GEO touted as solution for marketing in AI era
Pluszero, a GEO data consulting firm, unveiled an integrated VoC×GEO strategy to counter a search marketing crisis in the AI era. Chief executive Jung Sung-jin said the “zero-click era” is taking hold as users rely on generative AI answers without opening links, with portal search link click-through rates recently plunging 60 percent. He urged marketers to combine SEO with GEO and AEO so AI search engines cite brands first.

Shinhan Bank named top call center for 23rd straight year
Shinhan Bank has been named a top call center for the 23rd consecutive year in a service quality assessment hosted by Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC). In the 2026 Korean Service Quality Index call center survey, the bank also received recognition as a leader in non-face-to-face channels in the voice bot category. The KSQI survey covered 346 companies across 50 industries. Shinhan said it is expanding AI-based digital counseling and multilingual services.

GS Caltex DX Center head Eun Ju Lee (이은주) said the IT function is shifting from building services to measuring, monitoring and helping improve services created in the field. She cited a bottom-up strategy, internal app creation and business results, including growth in Energy Plus app users and ratings.
