LG Hellovision said on Tuesday it has completed an "artificial intelligence (AI) agent hackathon" joined by 203 employees.
During the event, which ran for a month in April, participants tested tasks for on-the-job use using generative AI. These included deriving optimal routes for sales sites, generating local channel news articles, organising fax reception data and analysing customer inquiries (VOC). Of the 203 participants, a total of 83 tasks were submitted.
Eight tasks were selected as award winners. The grand prize went to "Insight Radar", which summarises in real time changes in demand by product and marketing information for the Hello Rental direct online store. The top excellence awards went to "B2C sales risk analysis" and "one-stop automatic planning and production of local advertising". Winning teams received MacBook Pro laptops, Mac mini computers and generative AI subscriptions.
LG Hellovision Chief Executive Song Goo-young (송구영) said, "This hackathon is an important turning point for establishing an AX culture." He added, "We will support voluntary AI innovation to improve the company's constitution with an AX focus."
