Strategy resumed bitcoin purchases after about three weeks, buying 950 BTC from Sept. 14 to 20 at an average $79,670 for $75.7 million in cash. Its holdings rose to 846,000 BTC. The company has bought 846,000 BTC for $63.8 billion including fees, at an average $75,416 per coin. It also repurchased 1,771,238 STRC preferred shares for $174 million and did not sell stock via its ATM program.

Strategy shifts capital strategy to preferred share buyback instead of bitcoin
Strategy, the world’s largest corporate bitcoin holder, did not buy additional bitcoin for a second straight week and instead repurchased $139.3 million of its STRC perpetual preferred shares. It also made no bitcoin trades and issued no MSTR common stock through its at-the-market program during the period. Its bitcoin holdings stayed at 845,050 BTC. The board raised the digital credit securities buyback program limit to $2 billion.

Strategy raises $2.01 billion by selling MSTR shares, launches USD Cash for bitcoin treasury
Strategy sold 18.26 million MSTR shares to raise $2.01 billion and created a separate dollar liquidity account, USD Cash, for bitcoin treasury operations. It did not buy or sell bitcoin during the period. The company said USD Cash can be used for bitcoin purchases, preferred dividends and interest, redemptions, and debt repayments. It held 844,407 bitcoin as of Aug. 23, with a book value affected by bitcoin’s price recovery.
