Prediction market TruO moves from Base to Ethereum mainnet; Vitalik backs shift

Prediction market protocol TruO will move its operating base from Base to the Ethereum mainnet. It will not shut existing markets immediately, and will give users ample time to migrate, while shifting new markets to Ethereum. TruO said TRUE token holders can migrate at any time with no separate deadline. It will not open new Base markets maturing after Jan. 31, 2027, while keeping access to existing Base markets. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin welcomed the move.

Vitalik Buterin points to oracles as biggest security weakness in prediction markets

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin (비탈릭 부테린) has identified oracles as the biggest security vulnerability in decentralised prediction markets. He said the reliability of the oracle that judges outcomes matters more than trading structure, warning markets can be destabilised if oracles fail, are hacked or manipulated. He flagged centralised oracle designs and incentive-driven models as risks and proposed private voting as a next task to reduce coercion, attacks and bribery exposure.
