Three reasons aliens may struggle to reach Earth even at light speed
Even if alien civilizations exist, there are clear physical constraints that could keep them from visiting Earth, a researcher said. Carol Oliver of the University of New South Wales’ Sydney campus cited three reasons: the immense distances in space, the enormous energy required for interstellar travel and the potential dangers of Earth’s environment to non-adapted life. She also said the limited reach and short history of human observations make the lack of contact unsurprising.

Elon Musk became the first trillionaire in human history after SpaceX shares surged 19 percent on their first day of trading following a Nasdaq listing, giving the company a market value of $2.1 trillion. SpaceX stock opened at $150 a share, rose to $168 and ended at $161. Forbes put Musk’s net worth at $1.1 trillion, while an NYU professor called the IPO valuation unrealistic.

Samsung Electronics executives pledge 5 trillion won in social contributions over five years
Samsung Electronics\' executive group said on Tuesday it will create a total of 5 trillion won in funds for social contributions over the next five years, following a final wage agreement. It is reviewing support for partner firms, inclusive finance for vulnerable groups and AI talent development, among other items. Specific contribution methods will be decided after discussions by the board and the compliance oversight committee. It also pledged to reflect on its overall management philosophy.
