HancomWith introduces AI, security solutions to Japanese business delegation
HancomWith said on Wednesday it held a company and solution briefing for Japanese business representatives visiting South Korea through the Korea-Japan Nikkei Open Innovation Cooperation Day, co-hosted by KOTRA and Nikkei. Attendees included officials from the hosts, winners of Nikkei THE PITCH startup programme and executives from major Japanese companies. HancomWith introduced and demonstrated its authentication and TLS/SSL certificate automation solutions and shared its local business progress targeting Japan’s finance and public sectors.

MLB \'robot umpire\' era opens, 54 percent of calls overturned in opening week
Major League Baseball’s automated ball-strike system, officially introduced from the 2026 season, is reshaping games from the first week. In the first four days, there were 124 challenges across 35 games and 67 decisions were overturned. Each team gets two challenges per game, retained if successful. Early figures show walks per team rising to 3.7 per game, while strikeout rate is largely unchanged.

Deel to host \'The Pitch\' global startup tournament
HR and payroll management platform Deel will hold a global startup tournament, \'The Pitch\', aimed at discovering and supporting promising startups worldwide. The program targets more than 20,000 seed-stage startups across 7 regions and has a total investment of $15 million. Up to 100 regional winners will each receive $50,000. Up to 10 global champions will receive an additional $1 million. Asia-Pacific applications close on April 22.
