Alibaba affiliate Amap upgrades ABot integrated AI linking robots\' brain, hands and feet

Alibaba Group Holding\'s mapping unit Amap has unveiled an upgraded version of ABot, an AI framework that integrates robot mobility, manipulation, reasoning and control into a single system. Amap described ABot as linking a robot\'s feet, hands, brain and nervous system. It said ABot combines five foundation models, including ABot-N1 for autonomous navigation and ABot-M0.5 for combined movement and manipulation. Amap claimed top-tier results on 17 benchmarks without providing details.

OneStore steps up OnePlay with Gladiator Raising

OneStore said on Sunday it is ramping up its OnePlay service, which lets users play instantly without downloading, by adding the popular title Gladiator Raising. The launch is part of an effort to expand OnePlay’s lineup. OneStore said it plans to broaden the service in cooperation with Tencent. It described Gladiator Raising as a hit on WeChat’s mini-game sales rankings and said OnePlay can support discovery and monetisation without installation.

China open-weight AI overtakes U.S. models on developer platform; usage three times higher on price

Open-weight models released by Chinese AI labs have overtaken U.S. closed models in developer usage, with weekly token throughput on OpenRouter more than three times higher, Cryptopolitan reported. The shift is attributed to price competitiveness and flexible deployment as developers weigh operating costs alongside performance. Chinese models dominated OpenRouter’s top six by usage in late June. The trend also appeared on Hugging Face and Vercel metrics, while cost controls and security and regulatory concerns remain.
