Shinsung E&G posts 2.2 billion won Q1 operating loss, down 57.4 percent year on year

Shinsung E&G said it posted first-quarter revenue of 153.7 billion won and an operating loss of 2.2 billion won. Sales rose 32.1 percent from a year earlier and the operating loss narrowed 57.4 percent. It cited temporary factors in both business units, including market supply disruptions and shipment delays in renewable energy and start-up costs and deferred sales in clean environment. First-quarter orders jumped 203 percent year on year.

Samsung Electronics sees NAND, foundry join AI-driven profit engines

Samsung Electronics is seeing a shift in profit drivers in its memory business as NAND flash and its contract chipmaking unit gain traction on AI demand, following record quarterly results led by HBM and DRAM. The company says it has completed mass-production preparations for high-performance Gen6 NAND storage and received positive early customer feedback.
