ElevenLabs launches next-generation voice model Eleven v4

AI audio company ElevenLabs said on Wednesday it launched its next-generation text-to-speech model, Eleven v4, and a low-latency version, Eleven v4 Turbo. The company said Eleven v4 reflects tone, pace, character traits and context, and allows users to adjust speaking style, emotion and sound effects using natural-language prompts or in-text tags. It said supported languages expanded to more than 90. Eleven v4 Turbo targets real-time voice AI agents with reduced latency.

MatrixCloud builds contact centre on ElevenLabs voice AI

Global AI audio company ElevenLabs said on Sept. 1 that cloud-based contact-centre-as-a-service specialist MatrixCloud has adopted its ElevenAgent and built an AI contact-centre counselling environment. MatrixCloud said it expects the solution to overcome existing voice AI response delays and limits stemming from development complexity, and it is also pursuing entry into the global AI contact-centre market. The company is expanding business using AI voice agents based on experience building customer centres on Salesforce and Zendesk.

Ubase commercialises AI agent that directly handles customer counselling tasks

Ubase Group said on Tuesday it is moving to commercialise its AI Agent service that directly performs customer counselling tasks. The company said the service includes a conversational AI agent that analyses customer intent and context, and an execution agent that handles requests such as automatic transfers, instant payments, delivery tracking and card loss reports. It uses retrieval-augmented generation to draw on product, event and FAQ information and can provide personalised responses and recommendations.
