Kurly posts 13.1 billion won operating profit in 2025, first full-year profit
Retail tech firm Kurly posted an operating profit of 13.1 billion won in 2025, marking its first annual operating profit, it said on Tuesday. The company recorded operating profit for a fourth straight quarter. Revenue rose 7.8 percent from a year earlier to 2.37 trillion won, and gross merchandise value increased 13.5 percent to 3.53 trillion won. Kurly cited steady growth in its core businesses and portfolio diversification.

Employment rate for people in their 20s falls for first time in 5 years, jobs also drop
South Korea’s employment rate for people in their 20s fell to 60.2 percent in 2025, down 0.8 percentage point from 2024, marking the first annual decline in five years. The number of employed people in that age group slid 170,000 to 3,442,000, extending a three-year streak of declines. The number classified as “resting” rose to 408,000, the highest in five years, and its share reached a record 7.1 percent.

Cafe24 launches K-manufacturing smart e-commerce project
Cafe24 said it will push ahead with its K-manufacturing smart e-commerce innovation project to help Korean manufacturers innovate online commerce and enter overseas markets. The company cited industry challenges such as complex distribution, limited direct-to-consumer capabilities, lack of e-commerce experience, staffing difficulties and fragmented production and inventory data. Cafe24 plans to build an integrated digital ecosystem through its Cafe24 PRO service, paired with strategic consulting and global support.
