KT said on Wednesday it has renewed Cloud Service Security Certification (CSAP) for its cloud-based subscription artificial intelligence contact centre (AICC) solution, A’cen. It plans to support stable AI counselling services in the public sector through 2031.
CSAP is a cloud service security certification programme overseen by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). It evaluates and certifies whether security requirements are met so state and public institutions can safely use private cloud services.
KT first obtained the software-as-a-service (SaaS) standard-grade certification for the service in April 2021. It extended the certification validity period by 5 years after undergoing a renewal review this year.
Based on CSAP certification, KT currently provides AI voicebot services using KT A’cen for the work of about 60 public and administrative bodies, including the National Tax Service, Statistics Korea and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall. It also provides AICC solutions to more than 400 companies, including about 30 large financial firms.
KT plans to use its AICC operational capabilities and broad customer references to expand the base for AI counselling services, including by improving the efficiency of counselling work.
Jin-hyung Lee (이진형), head of KT's AX Business Division AX Business Headquarters and an executive director, said, "The CSAP renewal is a result that once again confirmed the security and stability of KT's AICC solution." He added, "We will focus on advancing our technology so corporate and institutional customers can adopt KT's AI counselling services with confidence."
