KB Financial, BS Group to cooperate on productive finance for renewables, AI data centres
KB Financial Group will work with BS Group to jointly identify projects and expand financial support in future growth areas including renewable energy, energy infrastructure and AI data centres. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on expanding productive finance and shared growth. They plan to combine expertise in finance and industry to develop business opportunities and build a strategic cooperation framework, and to run working-level consultative bodies by sector to find concrete projects.

Woori Financial to raise 500 billion won regional infrastructure fund, invest in Haenam solar and Gochang offshore wind
Woori Financial Group said on Monday it will set up a 500 billion won regional development infrastructure fund to expand investment in renewable energy and national strategic infrastructure. It plans to invest more than 70 percent of the fund’s assets in infrastructure for balanced regional growth and link the fund with the National Growth Fund. Key targets include the Haenam 400 MW solar project and the Gochang 76.2 MW offshore wind project.

Samsung SDS consortium makes first official site visit to national AI computing center
Samsung SDS consortium made its first official external visit since joining the tender for South Korea\'s National AI Computing Center, traveling to the planned site in Haenam, South Jeolla. Officials from Samsung SDS, Naver Cloud and South Jeolla Province inspected the Solaseado site, reviewed ground survey results and checked power, communications and other surrounding infrastructure. The project passed technical and policy evaluation in November and is undergoing financial review.
