Nexon to open registration for NDC 2026 from May 19, expanding AI talks

Nexon will recruit offline attendees for its Nexon Developer Conference (NDC), a game knowledge-sharing event, and expand lectures centered on artificial intelligence. It will hold NDC 2026 for three days from June 16 to 18 around its Pangyo headquarters in Seongnam and accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis from May 19 to 21 via its official website. The event will run 51 sessions and feature speakers from major companies.

Datadog, Twilio emerge as AI beneficiary software companies

Cloud-based IT monitoring company Datadog posted strong quarterly results and raised its full-year outlook, sending its shares up 31 percent on May 7. Quarterly revenue topped $1 billion for the first time, while Snowflake and MongoDB shares also rose. CEO Olivier Pomel said two major cloud companies newly adopted Datadog for AI training. CNBC reported Twilio is also drawing attention, after unveiling platform updates for AI agents.

Reka AI seeks to expand world model and robotics business with Moonvalley acquisition

Reka AI, an AI video app developer, has acquired video generation AI model startup Moonvalley through an all-share exchange. The Information, citing two people familiar with the matter, reported that Toronto-based Moonvalley was founded in 2023 and offers video generation models trained on licensed data to avoid copyright infringement. Reka AI plans to use the acquisition to expand into world models and robotics, it said.
