AI data cloud company Snowflake said on Aug. 18 it has appointed Lee Yong-seok (이용석) as its new Korea country manager. Lee, who has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software, will oversee Snowflake’s overall business in South Korea.
Before joining Snowflake, Lee led digital transformation and go-to-market strategies based on AI, data, security and infrastructure solutions for large corporate customers at Google Cloud for six years starting in 2020.
He previously worked at Microsoft Korea for 16 years, taking charge of several business areas.
He was responsible for small and medium-sized business and distribution partner business, as well as public-sector projects spanning government, education and healthcare. He also led an enterprise commercial organisation for major domestic conglomerate customers as head of enterprise commercial for the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
"I have gained the opportunity to join Snowflake and support domestic companies in creating more business opportunities based on data," Lee said. "I will combine the experience I have built across industries with Snowflake’s strong technological capabilities to build a collaborative ecosystem in which domestic enterprise customers and partners grow together, and work to connect data and AI to tangible business results," he said.
