Hoskinson says Midnight\'s NIGHT differs from XRP in value distribution structure
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said Midnight’s NIGHT token is fundamentally different from Ripple’s XRP in how value is created and distributed. He said Ripple still controls a significant share of XRP supply and uses the token to raise capital for external expansion, while XRP holders do not gain ownership or financial exposure to Ripple’s business results. He also pointed to the absence of staking or revenue-sharing mechanisms in XRP.

South Korea overhauls ISMS, ISMS-P certification, adds enhanced tier
South Korea will overhaul its Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System certifications, making ISMS-P mandatory for key personal data processing systems and tightening audit methods. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission will introduce a three-tier system: enhanced, standard and simplified certifications. The plan also strengthens on-site verification, technical testing and post-certification monitoring, with some measures applied in the second half of this year and broader changes from 2027.

Aave V4 deployed on Ethereum, expands beyond onchain into real-world credit markets
Aave, a DeFi lending platform, has launched its V4 protocol on Ethereum, Cointelegraph reported on March 30. The deployment followed approval in an onchain governance vote and a binding onchain ballot after a Snapshot vote on an Aave Improvement Proposal. Aave said V4 provides infrastructure to expand onchain markets into real-world credit markets, highlighting structured lending, fixed-rate borrowing and tokenized asset-backed credit.
