Daedong posts 377.7 billion won in Q1 sales, speeds shift to AI farming operations platform

Daedong said it posted consolidated first-quarter sales of 377.7 billion won and operating profit of 6.0 billion won. Sales fell 2.4 percent from a year earlier and operating profit also declined, citing a global farm machinery slowdown, U.S. tariff burdens and increased investment in AI and robotics. The company said it is accelerating a shift to an AI farming operations platform linking AI tractors, agricultural robots, precision agriculture and smart farming.

Ditonic, Muhan Information Technology partner on AI disaster response, smart farming global push

AI platform company Ditonic said on Thursday it signed a strategic partnership MOU with Muhan Information Technology for AI-based disaster response and a global expansion in smart farming. The companies plan to combine Ditonic’s AI platform infrastructure with Muhan Information Technology’s expertise in disaster and agriculture. They will cooperate on joint participation in public projects, joint R&D on an integrated data model, ecosystem guidelines based on global standards, and a joint entry into global AX markets starting in ASEAN.

Daedong sets 2030 revenue target of 35.9 trillion won, shifts business model

Daedong Group’s three listed companies, Daedong, Daedong Gear and Daedong Metal, disclosed a value-up plan aimed at reaching combined revenue in the 5 trillion won range by 2030, based on a shift to agricultural physical AI. Daedong plans to move from one-off equipment sales to AI-driven recurring revenue and to pursue subscription-type AI agriculture services. The group also plans to expand dealer networks, set financial targets, enter new businesses and gradually raise payout ratios to about 20 percent by 2030.
