Daedong CEO Won Yu-hyeon secures third term, vows to prove results in future businesses
Daedong reappointed Chief Executive Won Yu-hyeon (원유현) as an inside director, confirming a third term and maintaining leadership continuity to accelerate its agriculture AI and robot businesses. The company approved the reappointment at its 79th annual general meeting on March 26. His term runs from March 2026 to March 2029. Daedong said it will focus on strengthening five key businesses and expanding domestic and overseas deployment of AI-based autonomous equipment, robots and precision agriculture.

Daedong posts 31.1 billion won operating profit for 2025, up 68 percent
Daedong said on Wednesday it posted 2025 consolidated preliminary revenue of 1.48 trillion won and operating profit of 31.1 billion won. Sales rose 4.2 percent and operating profit climbed 68.3 percent from a year earlier, setting a new high as revenue rebounded. The company reported a net loss of 25.1 billion won, with the loss narrowing 44.5 percent.

Daedong, RDA AI farming cooperation takes shape; precision agriculture error rate in 4 percent range
Daedong said on Thursday it achieved results in its smart farming cooperation with the Rural Development Administration, including AI-based farm support and upgraded precision agriculture technologies. It developed an AI disaster warning service using the agency’s early warning API and improved its agriculture-focused AI 상담 function. In precision agriculture trials across 231 plots, Daedong cut fertiliser prescription errors to 4.29 percent and reported improved nitrogen uniformity after variable-rate application.
