South Korea to launch physical AI R&D in Jeonbuk and South Gyeongsang, lays out five-year roadmap

South Korea will begin physical AI research and development focused on manufacturing sites in Jeonbuk and South Gyeongsang provinces. In Jeonbuk, the project targets a software platform that lets different robots and equipment work together and integrates an entire factory into a single system. In South Gyeongsang, it will develop a large action model for real-world actions and precision control. The science ministry presented plans and targets through 2030.

South Korea space agency to expand cooperation with France\'s CNES to help domestic space firms enter Europe

South Korea’s space agency plans to expand cooperation with France’s National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) to help domestic space companies enter the European market and global supply chains. The agency said it will visit Paris from Sept. 8 to 10 to sign an implementation arrangement on space industry promotion and attend the International Space Summit as South Korea’s chief representative. The deal follows an agreement signed last October.

AI fear-battered stocks revive in August U.S. market rebound lineup

In August, U.S. stocks that had been weighed down by Wall Street’s bearish narratives rebounded sharply, CNBC reported. Jim Cramer said worries over AI threats, slower growth and worsening conditions were overturned by earnings and shifts in positioning. Moderna surged after reporting promising results for an experimental melanoma vaccine with Merck. Enterprise software names rebounded as a high-leverage hedge fund unwound bets. Other gainers included Gartner, Newmont, Paramount Skydance, Super Micro Computer, Sandisk and Coinbase.
