Securitize, Cantor Fitzgerald build U.S. regulation-based tokenised IPO infrastructure

Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald are developing infrastructure to support initial public offerings and follow-on share offerings based on tokenised securities within the existing U.S. securities regulatory framework. The companies are preparing a basic issuance structure for public markets that would allow companies to raise funds using tokenised securities. Securitize will provide tokenisation infrastructure, while its SEC-registered broker-dealer affiliate Securitize Markets will take part in offering and settlement. Cantor Fitzgerald will provide equity capital markets and trading capabilities.

Injective applies to register as transfer agent with SEC to put securities ownership records on chain

Injective has applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register as a transfer agent, Cointelegraph reported on July 16. The move aims to create a regulatory path for placing securities ownership records on a blockchain. Transfer agents manage shareholder registers and track changes in securities ownership. Injective said putting this function on chain could support issuance and management of tokenised securities and assets, and reduce delays and reconciliation between intermediaries.

Ethereum 2.0 era coming, Tom Lee sets out ETH recovery scenario

Tom Lee (톰 리), chairman of BitMine, said Ethereum is near a bottom and could return to growth over the long term in an “ETH 2.0” phase. He cited four factors that weighed on the crypto market this year, including shifting U.S. Federal Reserve policy expectations and uncertainty over the U.S. “Clarity Act”. He also pointed to technical rebound signals and outlined BitMine’s strategy to accumulate ETH.
