Playwith Korea unveils \'Seal M2\' brand identity, targets Q4 launch

Playwith Korea said on Thursday it has confirmed the official service name for its new MMORPG, \'Seal M2\', and unveiled its brand identity as it prepares to launch the title in the fourth quarter this year. The company said the game is an official sequel using the intellectual property of \'Seal Online\'. It plans to begin preparations for a domestic launch in the fourth quarter, combining elements from offline and mobile platforms.

Nexthus\' Frost Kingdom to hold closed beta test in June, new test for blockchain games

Nexthus is expanding its blockchain game strategy by publishing an externally developed strategy simulation game, Frost Kingdom, instead of adding blockchain features to existing titles. The game will run a closed beta test from June 4 to 10 to gather data and verify the balance of a multi-token tokenomics system. During the test, a payment system will be used and all spending will be returned as in-game currency after launch. The game will launch on iOS, Android and PC in domestic and global blockchain versions.

Nexthrus posts 11.6 billion won Q1 revenue, up 76 percent, driven by games, AI and blockchain

Nexthrus posted first-quarter revenue of 11.6 billion won, up 76 percent from a year earlier, helped by global traction in its core games business and expansion in AI and blockchain. Operating profit was 132 million won, down 47.6 percent year on year. Net loss totaled 3.04 billion won due to purchases of assets such as bitcoin. The company plans to expand its game lineup and upgrade its Kross mainnet 2.0 on June 1.
