AhnLab posts 59.1 billion won Q1 consolidated revenue, 1.9 billion won operating profit

AhnLab said on April 27 it posted first-quarter consolidated revenue of 59.1 billion won and operating profit of 1.9 billion won, based on interim results. On a separate basis, it reported revenue of 52.3 billion won and operating profit of 4.9 billion won. Consolidated revenue rose 3.3 percent year on year and operating profit increased 84.4 percent. It said overseas sales growth centred on its Saudi Arabia joint venture Rakeen supported results.

Yeocheon NCC raises naphtha cracker utilisation to 65 percent

Yeocheon NCC has raised the operating rate of its naphtha cracking plant to 65 percent from 60 percent, the company said on Sunday. It cited improved conditions for stabilising supply and demand, after the government introduced a subsidy policy to support naphtha purchases and a financial support system was also put in place. The company’s utilisation fell to 55 percent last month amid higher feedstock prices and supply uncertainty linked to a prolonged Middle East situation.
