Com2uS Q1 operating profit up 207 percent, flags new game push in second half
Com2uS said on Tuesday its first-quarter operating profit surged 206.9 percent from a year earlier, despite a 13.9 percent fall in revenue. It reported consolidated revenue of 144.7 billion won and operating profit of 5.1 billion won. The company attributed the profit improvement to its baseball game lineup based on KBO and MLB and core title Summoners War: Sky Arena. It plans new launches in the second half.

Canon Korea will launch two RF lenses aimed at expanding wide-angle expression in photo and video. The company introduced the RF7-14mm F2.8-3.5 L FISHEYE STM and the RF14mm F1.4 L VCM, citing proprietary optical designs and weight reduction for hybrid shooting. The fisheye offers up to a 190-degree angle of view and supports 2D 180-degree VR conversion. Prices are 2,299,000 won and 3,299,000 won.

Com2uS to step up baseball game growth with WBC tie-ins and 10th anniversary update
Com2uS is seeking new growth drivers for its baseball games, with content tied to the World Baseball Classic in March and a major update marking the 10th anniversary of MLB 9 Innings. The company said cumulative sales of its baseball games surpassed 1 trillion won as of January. It plans to lift traffic earlier than usual around the WBC, launch an offline tournament for Com2uS Pro Baseball V, and roll out a remaster-level update for MLB 9 Innings.
