Big Short\'s Michael Burry resumes Tesla short, targets Nvidia and semiconductor ETF
Investor Michael Burry, known as the real-life figure behind the film \'The Big Short\', disclosed a new short position in Tesla at $416.22 as part of a broader wager against what he called overheating in AI and semiconductors. He also listed shorts in Caterpillar, Nvidia, iShares Semiconductor ETF and Applied Materials. He did not disclose the size or structure of the Tesla position. Burry argued semiconductor valuations are at an extreme level.

Nvidia breaks out of sideways trading on semiconductor strength, can it keep lead stock status?
Nvidia has signalled a rebound by breaking above a six-month downtrend channel, extending a four-session rally to close at $196.51, up 3.8 percent. Trading volume rose to about 161.31 million shares. Still, an analysis says the move may reflect broader strength in semiconductors rather than Nvidia leading the market. The iShares Semiconductor ETF has outperformed since Feb. 10, while options data show more bullish bets alongside unchanged hedging.

Bitcoin rose about 1 percent and ether about 6 percent after the Middle East conflict began, while the S&P 500 and SOXX fell. The report cited 24-hour trading and institutional demand, and said total crypto market value rose to $2.39 trillion.
