As more information searches are handled by AI in a so-called zero-click era, companies face a growing need to manage information and build trust, an SK Telecom customer trust panelist said. Kim Nan-do (김난도) said consumers are increasingly delegating choices and judgments to AI, and trust in companies and infrastructure will matter more as AI becomes embedded in daily life. He also stressed responsibility for personal data protection and the need for human accountability in resolving customer complaints.

SKT bets on \'intelligence improvement loop\' for AI-for-everyone push
SK Telecom will push its “AI for everyone” business by leveraging full-stack capabilities that connect its proprietary AI model, infrastructure and public-facing services. It aims to build an “intelligence improvement loop” that feeds experience and data collected from real services back into model upgrades. SKT unveiled its 688 billion-parameter A.X K2 foundation model and plans efficiency measures such as MoE, inference control and system-level optimisation. It is forming a consortium of about 20 organisations and separate MOUs with 11 companies.

SKT boosts inference efficiency of homegrown AI model, strengthens sovereign AI capabilities
A suggestion has emerged that securing national-level sovereign AI competitiveness requires nurturing researchers and engineers who can develop and operate large-scale AI systems. SK Telecom is jointly researching with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to improve inference performance and computational efficiency for its own AI foundation model. MIT professor Kim Yoon-hyung said talent and experience running large systems are key, and described test-time training as an approach that uses inference-time computing to improve model performance.
