Samsung Electronics targets electric heating conversion market, unveils Korea-style heat pump boiler
Samsung Electronics launched its EHS heat pump boiler in South Korea to target the market replacing gas boilers, saying it can operate at minus 25 degrees Celsius and supply water up to 70 degrees under minus 15 degree conditions. The company outlined performance and rollout plans as government support programmes begin in major local authorities. It cited lower carbon dioxide emissions versus gas boilers and added features including low-noise operation and SmartThings connectivity.

Samsung Electronics launches domestic EHS heat pump boiler in South Korea
Samsung Electronics launched its air-source, heat pump-based home heating solution, the EHS Heat Pump Boiler, in South Korea on April 20. The product uses ambient air heat and electricity to provide space heating and hot water, and can generate more than four times the heat of the input electrical energy, the company said. It can supply hot water up to 70 degrees Celsius at minus 15 degrees and includes anti-freeze features.

Scop Information Communication joins apartment building management expo, showcases home network security solution
Scop Information Communication, a network security company, participated in the Apartment Building Management Industry Expo 2026 that opened on Tuesday at KINTEX in Ilsan and showcased its multi-family housing home network security solution, IPScan HomeGuard. The company said that after mandatory network separation between households was introduced following wall-pad hacking incidents, existing enterprise-focused security equipment was often applied to apartment networks, creating high costs and operational complexity. It said HomeGuard is designed for apartment environments.
