Samsung Electronics steps up household rollout of electric heat pump boiler
Samsung Electronics is moving more aggressively into the household boiler market with a heat pump-based system, installing its EHS heat pump boiler at a detached home in Aewol, Jeju, and holding a plaque ceremony. The integrated unit provides heating and hot water using outside air heat and electricity. The company said its seasonal performance coefficient reached 4.9 under 35 degree Celsius outlet conditions, and it can supply up to 70 degree Celsius hot water at minus 15 degrees Celsius.

Samsung, LG set record for most awards at Energy Winner Awards
Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics set new records for the most awards at South Korea’s largest energy-efficiency awards, the 29th Energy Winner Awards. Samsung won 10 awards, including the top Energy Prize for its Bespoke AI air conditioner and an energy technology award for its hood-integrated induction cooktop. LG won 12 main awards, including three grand prizes for an air conditioner, an e-paper display and a new dishwasher.

Samsung Electronics targets electric heating conversion market, unveils Korea-style heat pump boiler
Samsung Electronics launched its EHS heat pump boiler in South Korea to target the market replacing gas boilers, saying it can operate at minus 25 degrees Celsius and supply water up to 70 degrees under minus 15 degree conditions. The company outlined performance and rollout plans as government support programmes begin in major local authorities. It cited lower carbon dioxide emissions versus gas boilers and added features including low-noise operation and SmartThings connectivity.
