Ripple document touted as linking 500 banks is closer to technical guide, analysis says
A list of bank identifiers linked to Ripple has spread in the XRP community as purported evidence of broad adoption by the financial sector, but analysis suggests it is closer to technical documentation for setting up international money transfer routes. The material is described as part of developer documents for Ripple Payments and does not, by itself, show commercial contracts, active usage, transaction volumes or whether institutions use XRP or RLUSD as liquidity assets.

XRP price stagnates as ETF, whale and institutional metrics hit record highs
XRP has shown no clear direction for months, but ETF inflows, whale wallet accumulation and Ripple’s institutional expansion are setting records, a report said. Digital Ascension Group Chairman Jake Claver said adoption- and institution-linked metrics were strengthening regardless of price. XRP spot ETFs logged their strongest weekly inflows of the year in mid-May, while large holders increased balances. Ripple also expanded institutional infrastructure through acquisitions and partnerships.

April Fools joke turns into spat as Ripple and Avalanche clash over bank blockchain
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse (브래드 갈링하우스) hit back at comments by Avalanche founder Emin Gun Sirer (에민 귄 시러) over which blockchain banks use. Sirer posted on X that banks choose Ripple, then said it was an April Fools joke and argued financial institutions actually use Avalanche. Garlinghouse replied that Ripple was living “rent-free” in his head. The two projects tout different institutional strategies, and Ripple also cited progress on payments and U.S. banking approvals.
