The number of companies listed on South Korea’s Kosdaq through the technology special listing scheme has topped 300, 21 years after its introduction, the Korea Exchange said. It said cumulative IPO proceeds raised by the 300 companies total about 8 trillion won, with biotech accounting for 4.5 trillion won. The exchange said advanced industries now dominate new listings and market value, while investor protection remains a task.

Rainbow Robotics teamed up with software company Bigwave Robotics as it seeks to enter the U.S. robot automation market. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to advance into the North American robot market. They plan to combine Rainbow Robotics’ robot hardware with Bigwave’s monitoring, control and data management software to offer integrated solutions tailored to the U.S. market, with a focus on expanding supplies of the RB-Y1 mobile dual-arm robot.
