More South Korean companies adopt \'frontier transformation\' by rebuilding with AI
Microsoft on Wednesday unveiled its \"frontier transformation\" strategy and a supporting framework at an AI Tour Seoul event, aiming to help South Korean companies redesign processes beyond simple productivity gains. It also introduced local examples using the framework, including KT, Hyundai Department Store Group, Yonsei University Health System, RLWRLD, Hyundai AutoEver, Hanwha Qcells and Enhance. The cases ranged from AI agents and shopping curation to clinical workflows, robotics and software development collaboration.

RLWRLD appoints Carl Choi as U.S. head to strengthen U.S. business
Physical AI company RLWRLD said on Monday it has appointed Carl Choi as its U.S. head to strengthen its U.S. business ahead of unveiling a robotics foundation model in 2026. The company operates hubs in the United States, South Korea and Japan, and has spent the past two years validating applications in industrial sites in South Korea and Japan. Choi most recently was a partner at Alumni Ventures\' deeptech fund.

AI chip war enters new phase as Nvidia challengers step up offensive
Big cloud companies are stepping up attacks on the AI chip market dominated by Nvidia, extending efforts from inference into model training. Meta signs a multiyear deal to rent Google’s TPU and discusses bringing TPU into its data centres from next year. Amazon strengthens cooperation with OpenAI around AWS and its Trainium chip. Nvidia plans to unveil a new inference-focused chip in March and outlined an AI-native 6G vision using AI-RAN.
