Kakao Games data leak hits some services, affecting 140 users
Kakao Games said an incident involving unauthorised external access led to the leakage of personal information of 140 users from some of its services. The affected services were Partners and RINK, it said. The company said it blocked the intrusion route and inspected related systems after detecting unusual signs. It reported the incident to relevant authorities and is investigating the cause and impact with an external security firm.

SOOP signs year-long \'ASL 2026\' sponsorship with Google Play
SOOP has signed a year-long sponsorship agreement with Google Play for the 2026 season of ASL, it said on Sunday. The company plans to stage the finals for Season 21 and Season 22 on outdoor temporary stages. Season 21 will be held at the 2026 PlayX4 Gyeonggi eSports Festival with about 500 seats. Season 22 will take place at a temporary stage at Jamsil Lotte World Ice Rink with about 1,000 seats.

KB Financial delivers figure skating scholarships
KB Financial Group said it held a ceremony on Jan. 4 at Mokdong Ice Rink to present its figure skating scholarships during the KB Financial Korea Figure Skating Championships, the final selection event for the 2026 national team. It has supported the sport by awarding scholarships each year to 10 male and female prospects since 2015. Recipients are chosen based on combined results from two competitions, with scholarships to be delivered through the Korea Skating Union.
