Daedong CEO Won Yu-hyeon secures third term, vows to prove results in future businesses
Daedong reappointed Chief Executive Won Yu-hyeon (원유현) as an inside director, confirming a third term and maintaining leadership continuity to accelerate its agriculture AI and robot businesses. The company approved the reappointment at its 79th annual general meeting on March 26. His term runs from March 2026 to March 2029. Daedong said it will focus on strengthening five key businesses and expanding domestic and overseas deployment of AI-based autonomous equipment, robots and precision agriculture.

Hancom InSpace to launch private hyperspectral satellite Sejong 3 on March 29
Hancom InSpace will launch Sejong 3, South Korea\'s first privately operated hyperspectral satellite, on March 29 local time aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in the United States. The 6U-class satellite will operate in low Earth orbit at 500 to 600 km altitude and carry a hyperspectral sensor with 442 wavelength bands. The company plans to expand its satellite data business and strengthen its observation system by integrating constellation operations.

Daedong seeks startups for 2026 future agriculture platform open innovation
Daedong is recruiting startups with AI and robotics-based agricultural innovation technologies to take part in its 2026 Future Agriculture Platform Open Innovation pilot support programme with the Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, it said on Thursday. Eligible firms must be less than 7 years old. Applications are due online by 4 p.m. on March 19. Two companies will be chosen after document and presentation reviews and will run an about eight-month verification and commercialisation project.
