Revenue rose 40 percent from a year earlier to 140.7 billion won, while operating results swung to a 6.0 billion won profit from a 24.0 billion won loss. CJ ENM cited gains from the KBO season and hit original content that lifted subscribers and monthly active users. It expects weaker third-quarter results due to seasonal advertising factors and higher content costs.

South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission said on Aug. 6 it asked SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus to voluntarily correct four types of unfair clauses in their telecom service terms.
